8. Hints, Tricks and Specials
8.1. Exploits and Bugs
I would like to state that I personally don t condone using any of the pathing bugs that take
away any risk for the player as the game is not harder without using them. You should be
aware that if players detect you and report you, you could receive warnings or might even be
banned.
8.1.1. Engine Bug
Levels: All
Risk: None
This exploit isn t traceable.
You need a pet and then:
- /pet back off
- /pet attack
- /assist (your pet)
If the opponent is up it will show in your target, if it doesn t show its not up. Rare spawns can
be tracked easily this way. It is important to use the underline (_) instead of a space. So to
track Phinigel Autropus you would have to type: /pet attack Phinigel_Autropus.
8.1.2. Pathing Bugs
Levels: All
Risk: Medium
This exploit is visible if someone watches you and reports you to a GM, so use it carefully.
Please note that pathing bugs come and go as some are fixed, while other ones crop up from
time to time.
Pathing bugs generally occur in the area where opponents instead of heading directly for you
first head a far bit away trying before they come back to hit you. They can get stuck along the
walls.
Pathing bugs are generally however not much of an aid for magicians. This is because most of
the pathing issues only reduce risk when the opponents are feared and thus allowing the
magician pet to do damage without ever getting hit.
It is also important to note that pathing bugs can and will change very often due to them
getting fixed or changes being made to the pathing engine.
